As The Summer Heat Continues...

Another great Tea-Sicle idea!  It's harvest time for many fruit growers, so gather some of that goodness in a cooling treat.  If you have an avocado that is just past the stage for salad use, and some really ripe plums (even ones with flaws on the skin), here's a recipe for Avocado Plum Tea-Sicles:

2 tablespoons yogurt (we like vanilla!)

1/2 very ripe avocado, peeled and seeded

4 very ripe plums

1/2 cup very strong chai tea, brewed and cooled

Place the yogurt and avocado into a large (4 or 8 cup) measuring cup for easy pouring when done.  Score the plum skins and squeeze the juice and flesh into the mixture, discard skins and seeds.  Add chai tea.  Notice how the avocado adds a rich thickness that will delight you when frozen.

Blitz with a stick blender or mash and mix with a fork until the mixture is smooth.  Pour into popsicle molds.  Freeze & enjoy!

P.S. Double the recipe and when the popsicle molds are full you will have an amazing breakfast smoothie.

P.P.S. Also great with blackberries, blueberries, currants, raspberries or any other available fruit.
